Edmond February Monthly Meeting

February 11 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us Wednesday, February 11, 7:00pm at the Edmond library for our February monthly meeting. We will feature Pam Leader, Co-Chair of the Oklahoma Sierra Club Legislative Committee. The Sierra Club is a grassroots environmental organization with chapters in every state. Their Oklahoma legislative team reviews, prioritizes, and tracks environmental bills throughout the legislative session.

Pam will share what environmental issues are moving at the OK State Capitol, and where citizen advocacy can make a real difference, including: • Groundwater metering and conservation • Surface water protection from pollution • Data centers and energy use • PFAS and biosolids • Phasing out dirty fuels like coal • Expanding clean, renewable energy • Turnpikes and OTA accountability • Reducing single-use plastics • Recycling and waste reduction

We’ll also talk about practical ways everyday Oklahomans can plug in, stay informed, and take action this legislative session.
