Join us for a conversation with Dr. Samuel L. Perry, Sam K. Viersen Presidential Professor at the University of Oklahoma and a nationally recognized scholar of religion and American politics.
Dr. Perry is co-author of Taking America Back for God and The Flag and the Cross, two widely cited studies examining Christian nationalism in the United States. His research focuses on how religious identity intersects with political power, public policy, race, and democracy.
Personal faith and freedom of religion are foundational rights. This discussion examines how religion becomes intertwined with state power.
